Who runs this site

Fat Stacks Academy is run by Nathaniel Booth. He reviews bank accounts and bank bonuses on the Fat Stacks Academy YouTube channel, where he opens the accounts himself and documents the process on camera: the application, the direct deposit, the waiting, and the payout. He also built Stacks OS, the bonus tracking and sequencing app on this site, because the spreadsheet he was using to juggle bonus requirements kept falling over.

How the catalog stays accurate

The core of this site is a catalog of hundreds of live bank, brokerage, and credit card bonuses. Bank offers change constantly, so accuracy is a process, not a one-time effort:

• Daily automated verification. An automated pipeline checks offers every day for changes, expirations, and new bonuses.
• Manual review before changes go live. The pipeline does not publish on its own. Proposed catalog changes are reviewed by a human before they ship.
• Links to the bank's own terms. Every offer links to the bank's own offer page so you can confirm the terms at the source before applying.
• Direct-deposit verdicts per bank. We maintain per-bank rules on what counts as a direct deposit, marked honestly as yes, mixed, no, or unknown. When we don't know, we say so instead of guessing.

None of that makes the catalog infallible. Banks change terms without notice, and a wrong number can cost you a bonus, so always verify the terms on the bank's page before opening an account.

How we make money

Three ways. Stacks OS has a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. And some outbound links to banks and card issuers are referral or affiliate links, which may pay us if you open an account through them, at no extra cost to you.
